Senior .NET Developer,
Finally, this is your chance to be part of a team responsible for upgrading the entire application portfolio at a firm with complex manufacturing and supply chain systems. The new system will be a combination of ERP solution and significant custom development leveraging the Microsoft stack, including C#, ASP, and Silverlight.
The project is essentially at the beginning, so this is a great opportunity to join a multi-year effort that will include complex integration of this solution into client systems, typically as large as a F1000 enterprise architecture.
Additionally, the new architecture is needed to accelerate company growth, which may present significant career growth opportunities for this person as the organization expands.
Overview
Responsible for designing, implementing, testing and documenting software programming applications on the Microsoft .NET platform including C#.NET, ASP.NET, and Silverlight, this person will provide consultation on complex projects and will function as a top level project contributor. Most projects will require integration with a soon to be determined ERP solution.
The current architecture leverages several Oracle databases and a Legacy Client Server application architecture. While the team members currently responsible for the Legacy systems will handle most of the work in this area, this person will allocate approximately 30% of their time to working with the Legacy, Oracle based system.
This person is a senior team member who will also provide technical support to project team members and expertise in a variety of .NET software development concepts, practices, and procedures. This position is expected to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish achievable goals. A person with highly creative thinking skills will excel given the latitude afforded to this team.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the architectural design of Oracle, PL/SQL, C#, ASP.NET, and Silverlight software.
- Develop quality code that meets the architectural design.
- Build applications of many varieties including browser-based, web-based, and rich-client.
- Integrating custom-built applications with other Legacy, Oracle PL/SQL, and ERP based systems.
- Migrate systems from Legacy codebases to a hybrid ERP and .NET stack.
- Following all internally defined standards for software development and testing.
- Create technical documentation as needed.
Continuous improvement mindset highly desired in respect to the quality of internal development systems and processes.
Technical and Education Requirements
8+ years experience development, the majority in a Windows .NET environment
Bachelor's degree required (BS CIS/MIS preferred)
Full system development life cycle (SDLC) experience and/or Agile Development Methodology.
Experience (3+ years) and expertise with .NET, C# or VB
Must understand of basic data concepts such as SQL, RDBM, OLAP, and reporting in either a MS SQL Server or Oracle relational database.
(Preferred) Experience with ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, WCF, WPF or Silverlight
(Preferred) Experience with Web 2.0 and SOA design concepts
(Preferred) Experience with Client Server design concepts
(Preferred) Experience with ALM tools such as Team Foundation Server.
