Technical Project/Change Manager  

Contract
Assuming this role, the selected candidate will perform the following responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resources, systems, timelines and financials to support, contribute, and integrate within the organization's annual business plan and long term strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain systems to establish standards and measure performance against those standards as related to testing and deployments.
  • Work with testing leads to ensure adherence to written testing policies.
  • Work with the business support team to streamline turnover processes, document current processes, and enforce written policies.
  • Report/Communicate as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards.
  • Central point of contact for release management issues, escalation, and management escalation liaison.
  • Validate that Change and Release Management Processes and procedures are being performed effectively and consistently; Provide guidelines/enforcement for projects presented.
  • Interact with management and others to develop, track and coordinate release schedules.
  • Coordinate all aspects of a release life cycle including development, test, inspection and enforcement of policies activities.
  • Facilitate cross functional release team meetings to coordinate issues resolution.
  • Log, track and escalate high priority project deployment related issues impacting ability to deliver quality products according to plan.
  • Develop and maintain a high degree of knowledge for the product suite and supporting release management systems.
  • Work with SDMs to institutionalize quality systems and tracking metrics into the process as well as performance plans to hold associates accountable; Help define performance plan write-ups and metrics for measuring accountability; Should include quality and zero adverse impact items.
  • Host periodic brown bag lunch sessions
The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include: Required Skills:
  • Prior experience in Release Management
  • Strong Technical Project/Change Management skills
  • Leadership and Influencing skills
  • Prioritization and Issues Management skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Acting as a liaison between business partners and technology development resources
  • Compliance with ECMS change management process and Six Sigma
Desired Skills:
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Good Communication and Training skills
  • Ariba experience is preferred
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience with code versioning tools, ie ClearCase, Subversion
Candidates must have excellent communication skills and well as documentation skills. Candidates must also have strong MS suite knowledge. Ariba knowledge is a plus. Candidates may need to work early morning hours - must be able to be flexible in their schedules.
