Title: Technical Architect
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6 months +

Our client, a multi-billion dollar company, is looking to drive increased performance, stability, and efficiency out of their existing BI/DW environment, as well as better align it with the needs of the business. We are seeking a Lead Technical Architect to assist in this effort - as much as possible, the new design will work within the constraints of the existing build; but to the extent necessary/possible, a re-design will take place.

Given the complexity of their organization and their technical environment, and the fact that this project will examine end-to-end BI/DW needs (from Business Process, to System Architecture, to making sure the tools are responsive to the end users), a resource will a strong overall skill set is required, who can understand the end to end implications (via critical thinking and problem solving skills), and drive holistic system efficiency/improvement, with a focus on areas including technical architecture, system performance, stability, governance processes, query optimization.

Needs for this role, include:
-DataStage knowledge
-DataBase knowledge (IBM DB2)
-Data Modeling experience (client may need to tweak the existing data model to load or extract more efficiently.)
-Working knowledge of BI Tools(Microstrategy and WebFocus are used)
-Great Communication Skills
-Great Collaboration Skills
-Database/Query Performance Tuning experience
