Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Supplier Development Engineer in Maumee, OH.

THE POSITION
Based in Maumee, Ohio reporting directly to Director of Supplier Quality, this position will evaluate potential new and current suppliers from an overall business perspective through participation as the Team Leader in supplier reviews.

Responsibilities:
* Recommend supplier selections and removals and assist suppliers in new process development - FMEA, CP, PPAP, etc.
* Conduct detailed supplier process audits and corrective action follow-up reviews.
* Monitor overall supplier business health and communicate any risks to the Supply Chain Management Group.
* Drive and assist supplier continuous improvement and cost out initiatives utilizing Lean & DMAIC methodology.
* Participate in APQP program activities and ensure successful supplier participation in the program launch process. Ensure timely resolution and verify effectiveness of all supplier related corrective actions on launch issues.
* Participate in resourcing and outsourcing activities and ensure successful supplier participation in the planning process. Ensure timely resolution and verify effectiveness of all supplier related corrective actions.
* Lead on-site improvement team to address supply issues as required and drive systems thinking and process orientation throughout the supply base.
* Drive to reduce current Supplier PPMs to 0 PPM target.
* Drive to improve current Supplier "Delivery-on-Time" to 100% target.
* Monitor and report Supplier Improvement Metrics.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Dana seeks an accomplished leader in Supplier Quality with proven experience conducting supplier audits, identifying and solving issues and driving toward continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will know how to identify risks, have experience leading root cause analysis, and have excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to work successfully with suppliers toward a common goal.

Requirements:
* Certification as a CQE preferred.
* Demonstrated competence in quality related statistics, Six Sigma - DMAIC certification a plus.
* Working knowledge of Lean Principles and Methodologies. Certification a plus.
* Working knowledge of TS certification requirements.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
* Demonstrated strong manufacturing process skills.
* Must be a team player that solicits diverse ideas and viewpoints and possess strong facilitation, teaching, and coaching skills.
* Good computer/database management skills with process mapping and excel.
* Must be willing to travel 75% both domestically and internationally.
* Must be willing to continue education/training in areas identified.

Education
* Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline or may consider equivalent education and significant, relevant work experience.
