If you are a strong Developer Support Engineer with strong C++ programming, 3D animation, game engine development, Middleware, animation as well as a strong background in math or physics, please read on!
This is NOT a GAME DEVELOPMENT position.
What you need for this position:
- Extensive C++ development experience
- Developer Support, specifically game engine development
- Experience developing on the PlayStation platform (other gaming platforms are also applicable)
- Experience supporting software products
- Strong communication skills
- Proven ability to quickly evaluate information and provide solutions
- Ability to demonstrate software products
- Ability to conduct performance analysis sessions
- Experience with development tools such as ProDG, Tuner, SN-DBS, NDK or ProView a plus
- Understanding of how assemblers, linkers, compilers and debuggers work a plus
- Experience with Windows server administration a plus
- Experience with network administration a plus
- Geometry approximation and decomposition
- 2, 3 & 4D Vector Math
What you'll be doing:
Customer-site support of a gaming hardware solution and associated Middleware
Supporting the porting of cross-platform device drivers and basic software in a gaming environment
Providing answers for customers on a daily basis
Verifying problems reported by customers that cannot be verified by our QA department both in hardware installations and software deployments
