Position Summary
CCCi's client has an immediate need for a full time Web/Portal professional to provide application and solutions consulting for Web/Portal areas and associated business applications. The selected candidate will work with architecture, development teams, IT operations, and other IT areas as appropriate throughout the development, testing and implementation life cycle for Web/Portal applications. This is a multi-level position, with level placement dependent upon the skills and experience of the candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain in-depth technical and business knowledge to ensure recommended solutions are efficiently designed and programmed, positive and negative tested, and delivered to meet business requirements.
- Provide module and business process specific support and consultation to business and IT management. The support will include mapping of business requirements to application capabilities and technical requirements, identification of gaps and omissions in requirements, and design/proposal of end-to-end solutions or improvements to address the requirements
- Provide status updates on assigned work to management and when required act as a Project Manager on small modifications
- Financial/Value Management: Provide input to support budget planning and management including adhering to all budgeting/spending guidelines for individual work area; perform cost benefit analyses and estimate cost for individual work and initiatives and utilize methods to measure post-implementation return on investment; develop accurate forecasts, and identify cost reduction opportunities
- Provide oversight and monitoring, including providing direction and guidance, to geographically dispersed teams of technical resources, consultants and vendors to ensure internal quality processes, programs and standards for development efforts are followed
- Develop, implement, and maintain/update testing plans for specific functional area to ensure sufficient testing is conducted for new releases, approved modifications, and problem fixes
- Provide input to the development and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and five- year business plan for a specific area of IT functionality
- Participate in data gathering for root cause analysis, including, analysing past problems or failures; perform basic apparent cause analysis, identifying causes and recommending action plans for simple problems or failures

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and at least four, typically six or more years of diverse work experience in IT, or without a Bachelor's degree at least six, typically eight or more years of diverse work experience in IT
- Three or more years' experience with developing applications (web parts) on SharePoint 2007 and/or SAP Portal
- Proficient with .NET programming language
- Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
- Strong communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation skills, teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
- Experience working directly with clients and end users
- Strong analytical ability and judgment

Preferred Requirements
- Advanced degree in Information Systems or Masters of Business Administration
- Microsoft Certifications
- Experience in integrating with SAP NetWeaver Portal Platform (a huge plus)
- Experience in building enterprise web applications in a heterogeneous environment demonstrating integration experience with applications from different technology stacks
