Senior Web Application Programmer - Job # 51BR  


Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a Senior Web Application Programmer to join the Global Products and Services (GPS) division as we begin a multi-year project to provide technologies and services utilizing the Microsoft .NET platform. GPS supports product lines, which include consumer, patient and corporate web sites, and includes applications such as,, patient portal, EmbodyHealth and Mayo Clinic telephonic services. In addition to the web sites, GPS IT supports a number of related vended and in-house developed applications.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree (Computer Science or related field preferred) and three years of professional software development experience; associate's degree and five years of experience; or 10 years of professional software development experience. MCTS and/or MCPD certification is a plus. Thorough understanding of the Internet and solid experience in information systems architecture and development is required, along with proficiency in C#, .NET 3.5+, MS SQL Server and object-oriented programming and design. Knowledge of Entity Framework, Microsoft Enterprise Library, ASP.NET AJAX, ASP.NET MVC, Team Foundation Server, WCF, data modelling, XML, web services, testing and version control systems, CMS, IIS6 or higher administration, Silverlight and jQuery receives priority consideration.
