Job Title: Senior Electronic Design Engineer
Reports To: VP of Engineering

Position Summary:
Design electronic circuit boards for use in oil and gas wellbore gauges that measure and record downhole pressures and temperatures. Provide senior level technical leadership, innovation and direction for new products and redesigns.

Responsibilities:
1. Design and draft complex digital and analog electronic circuitry and components for double sided, multi-layer, PTH, and SMT printed circuit boards that measure and record high pressure and temperature in oil wells.
2. Take an electronic design from concept to hardware implementation.
3. Have a high proficiency in the use of assembly and C/C++ languages in developing device firmware, firmware applications, Microprocessor-based board level design.
4. Provide strong technical leadership to manufacturing and other product teams to support new product development, design, testing and revisions.
5. Generate documentation using a standard electronics design programs for schematic, Gerber, assembly and fabrication of printed circuit boards.
6. Perform sufficient testing (temperature, shake, vibration and function) of new board designs and firmware ensuring total performance of the gauge.
7. Identify, analyze and resolve any and all circuit design issues.
8. Manage and supervise 1-2 electronic technicians' workload and projects.
9. Participate in regular design review meetings to ensure compliance with established procedures and product requirements.
10. Coordinate design efforts with other departments, such as mechanical engineering, sustaining engineering, procurement and manufacturing to ensure the complete success of new products and tool features.

Requirements:
1. BS in Electronic Engineering or equivalent years of experience
2. 5+ years PCB design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
3. Crystal quartz and piezo pressure transducer technology knowledge a plus
4. High temp, low power crystal oscillator design a plus
5. Proficient in the use of design software such as PADS or Altium
6. 5-10% travel, state side as well as internationally
7. Must be able to be certified for offshore site visits

3. Superior verbal, written and listening skills
4. Advanced in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
5. Oil field experience in completions and reservoir production a plus
6. ISO procedure knowledge a plus
