• Shares ownership of operational responsibility for storage provisioning and availability at the customer site(s) with the Customer Storage Manager.
• Responsible for configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure.
• Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and customer's change management policies.
• Performs necessary data migration as required and defined by EMC's migration practices.
• Responsible for configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure.
• Performance tuning in the environment when needed.
• Provides analysis of environment and Best Practice knowledge transfer.
• Generate regular operations reports using customer supplied tools, such as EMC Control Center (Storage Scope, Performance Manager) and NaviAnalyzer.
• SAN Design, EMC Control Center Setup and Configuration, and Performance Manager Tuning
• CLARiiON Host Connectivity, troubleshooting and Performance Tuning
• NAS Celerra setup and configuration with replicator hands on
• Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.
• Help maintain 99.999% availability for all hosted products.
• Client implementations including initial configuration and ongoing application support.
• Collaborate with internal organizations to create new and streamline existing processes and procedures.
• Provide 24 x 7 on call escalation support.
• Create and maintain documentation of client infrastructure, applications, and procedures.
• Off hour support also required.

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following skills, experience, and knowledge requirements:

• EMC Hardware (CLARiiONs CS and etc)
• Cisco MDS SAN OS, Device and Fabric Manager
• RH/Linux SAN attached host troubleshooting, drivers (LPFC, Leadville)
• Sun Solaris 8,9,10 SAN attached host troubleshooting, drivers (LPFC, Leadville)
• Java
• Apache
• Typically a Bachelor's degree is required
• Minimum of 6-8 years experience designing, implementing and supporting storage environments
• Strong ability to define requirements when working with end users designing solutions
• Good ability to build and execute project plans
• Good knowledge of networking concepts
• Good interpersonal skills and strong work ethics
