Senior Director, Strategy and Development

(Description) JOB DESCRIPTION
Contribution: The Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development will play a key role in developing and executing the Securities Processing Division's corporate strategy including M&A, partnership and organic growth strategies. This highly visible position will be filled by an executive with exceptional drive and energy, who has strong analytical and financial skills, hands-on experience with strategic and business development, highly effective verbal and written communications skills, and the organizational ability to get it done.

Roles: This position has the following major roles:
1. Strategy Formulation - The Senior Director will work with the team to develop and launch strategic initiatives for the Securities Processing Division. Responsibilities will include developing strategic frameworks to analyze the division's existing business as well as new market opportunities (partner, acquire, build).
2. Business Development - Work with the team to identify and capture incremental revenue opportunities for the firm within the existing client base.
3. Business Case Creation and Communication - Lead or assist with the creation of all phases of a business case (eg market analysis, value proposition, strategic fit, economic models and launch) to support a new initiative.
4. Financial Analysis - The Senior Director will develop the financial and economic models that support the assessment and underlying valuation of potential opportunities. These models will include market sizing, financial forecasts as well as additional financial analysis as appropriate. The Senior Director must also be facile with valuation analyses including public company comparables, transaction comparables and DCF analyses.
5. Negotiation - The Senior Director will support the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development in the negotiation of potential acquisitions and partnerships.

Interactions:
This position communicates with internal stakeholders, including the President's of each business unit within the SPS division as well as key members of the Executive Management Team including product management, operations, product development, conversions, account management and finance. The position also communicates with C-level Broadridge executives, outside advisors as well as the management of potential strategic partnership and acquisition targets. The Senior Director must be able to communicate across multiple levels in a broad variety of circumstances in order to be effective.

Reporting:
The position reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business Development.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A bachelor's degree demonstrating a high-level of academic achievement. MBA from top tier school preferred.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience (7-10 years) in consulting, corporate strategy and business development and/or investment banking. Qualified candidates must be familiar with all elements of strategy formulation, evaluation and launch as well as the acquisition/strategic partnership process including: target identification, assessment, business case development, contract negotiation and integration. Capital markets industry knowledge is required and in-depth Fixed Income and equity knowledge is preferred.
