Position Summary
CCCi's client has an immediate, 3 Month Contract to Hire opportunity in North Metro Atlanta. The selected individual will serve as the administrator and technical lead for all development on the Microsoft SQL Server/BI environment including service products (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS), Performance Point, SharePoint and Excel Services. They will also serve as liaison and main point of contact for management, the business user community and development group(s), providing information regarding server health, product issues and fixes, development and deployment recommendations, security, product usage and system performance. This position is required to work closely with vendors, IT. staff and the end user community to troubleshoot problems with Microsoft Server applications and service environment. The role requires assisting in policing usage policies including enforcement of development standards while exercising judgment using procedures and practices to determine appropriate course of action. In addition, he or she will be responsible for ensuring a smooth running Microsoft Server environment and confirming all services and applications are working properly, fast and efficient. This individual MUST be deliverable oriented.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Administrator and technical lead for all development on the Microsoft SQL Server/BI environment including service products (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS), Performance Point, SharePoint and Excel Services
- Provide guidance in development of reliable MS Service packages and products, ensuring all adheres to best practices and standards
- Deploy service packages and BI applications from development environment to UAT/Stage & Prod environments
- Participates in the testing process and works to improve the quality and efficiency of BI projects
- Ensured smooth running of SQL Server and BI applications are working as required, fast and efficient
- Create and implement BI environment backup/recovery plans and responsible for a proper disaster recovery environment
- Configured and managed database maintenance plans to ensure a trouble free environment
- Actively involved in brainstorming discussions on design, development, and implementation of Business Intelligence, Database initiatives and new business opportunities

Basic Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent degree
- At least 5 years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server and BI Services environment
- SQL Server database/administrator knowledge
- Security knowledge in SQL Server (Database), SharePoint and SSAS
- Strong knowledge of the SSIS, SSAS and SSRS MS Service products
- A firm understanding of Performance Point and SharePoint applications
- Proven ability to deliver, as results orientation is demanded
- Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple deliverables
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to multitask
- Self motivated

Preferred Requirements
- Teradata database and SQL experience
- MCSA, MCSE or higher Certification
- MS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent degree
- Knowledge of industry best practices in the area of computing infrastructure for VMware
