Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Testing Analyst is responsible for partnering with technology groups, business partners, project analysts/managers, and external offshore vendor resources to plan and execute System and User Acceptance Testing (IST/UAT). The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed, and thrive in a fast-paced and high-visibility work environment. As a Quality Assurance Testing Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to facilitate the quality testing practices in support of the client's Card Services Marketing Services supported applications and product launches. In this role, you will partner in the planning, design and execution of testing strategies and practices in order to meet the functional or user acceptance testing requirements for the applications and product launches supported by your team. In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to interact with all project stakeholders throughout the SDLC. This position requires experience working in a 3-tiered architecture in support of web-based, Client Server, and batch testing.

The candidate should have the skills and experience to fulfil the following responsibilities:
o Participate in cross-functional discussions to review the impact of application changes from both internal and external interfaces on the quality of their applications.
o Ensure comprehensive test coverage exists by understanding the test scope and approach of dependent QA groups.
o Work with application development teams and business partners to participate in solution design and ensure testability of functions and applications.
o Identify areas for improving efficiency, shortening of test cycles, and automation of test scripts and recommend solutions for improvement.
o Facilitate execution of automated test scripts
o Interact with onsite and remote internal customers.
o Performs root cause analysis to identify and recommend test scope and test approach improvements.
o Possess thorough technical and operational knowledge within the QA area of responsibility
o Assist with leading the design, development and implementation of test strategies and tools
o Deliver against goals related to developing QA work plans, establishing technical objectives, resource ramp-up/ramp-down decisions, resource allocation, assigning tasks, and overseeing resource and execution goals
o Maintain schedules and coordinate activities for assigned projects
o Assess and forecast Test Levels of Effort
o Identify Test Environment requirements
o Monitor the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensure that technical and functional objectives are met
o Interface with management to report on project and program milestones
o Present and/or escalate project and technical needs
o Coordinate activities with overall development and business teams
o Ensure execution of the testing problem management process; specifically, monitoring and reporting on problem resolution
o Assist with the selection, development and retention of proactive, technically strong service-oriented staff
o Create and maintain QA procedure documents
o Responsible for defect management including monitoring and reporting on defect resolution
o Create test cases and test scripts using detailed business requirements, functional documents, and processes
o Prepare, plan and coordinate complex data conditioning requirements
o Interface with different resources in the workspace including development, business and analysts teams.
o Recommend solutions to difficult problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity
o Communicate progress toward daily and weekly deliverables
o Assist Application Developers, business managers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving defects
o Identify, recommend changes to established practices and policies
o Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design
