Job Description

Management of High impact/Strategic projects
- Prepare project objectives, budget, business case, product cost analysis, detailed work breakdown structure and schedule for assigned projects.
- Acquire project resources working with department managers and externally
- Manage, plan, direct, monitor and coordinate cross functional teams to achieve project targets in terms of cost, schedule and scope.
- Execute program management methodology established in the company to ensure high quality result for the project
- Maintain projects in the Program Management system such as updating schedules, approving time for project team members, maintaining issues list etc.
- Risk management -Timely identify risk, ensure that risk mitigation plans are developed and are acted upon in a timely manner.
- Change Management- Ensure that all changes affecting project's cost, scope and schedule are adequately reviewed and approved by the respective functional experts before implementation
- Project Reporting- Report project status including issues and risks to the senior management to seek input and support to achieve project objectives.
- Perform technical tasks on the project to meet project objectives and to support project team members who need help
- Interface with all key stakeholders including customers to ensure that requirements for all stakeholders are met.
- Close out projects by reporting on project performance and lessons learned

Oversight of several Medium to Low complexity projects
- Oversee and monitor the progress of multiple projects without actually managing the project
- Work closely with the project leader to verify that the PM Methodology is being followed and the risks and issues are being managed adequately. Participate in tollgates and other project review meetings
- Assess project problems/issues & suggest solutions to the Project leader and other team members
- Proactively report project risks and issues to the senior management so that timely actions can be taken to support the project

Support execution of PM Methodology across the company
- Support Project Leaders across the company to use the PM tools and PM Methodology (provide training if necessary)for successful execution of projects
- Actively look out for opportunities to improve and optimize PM processes in the company and suggest solutions necessary to achieve those improvements

Personal Development
Keep abreast of advances in the field of Program Management. Understand best practices for improving project performance. Add to current knowledge base by pursuing education and training for career growth and company benefit. Network with other industries through supplier, customer, and professional organizations such as Program Management Institute.

Required Skills


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience including successful management of complex projects preferably in engineering/manufacturing industry.
  • Self-motivated, proactive work ethic, goal oriented and a strong team player
  • At least 35 hours of training/education with course objectives related directly to Project Management profession
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent Presentation and Communication skills. Ability to prepare clear, concise and informative reports, correspondence and other written materials.
  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations, using sound and independent judgment within general policy and legal guidelines

Preferred requirements include PMP certification, MBA, 8-10 years of PM experience & Six Sigma Green Belt certification
