Responsibilities include: - Implementing and tracking changes to Mainframe production batch processes through use of change management software; Ensure adherence to production implementation policies; Perform problem identification, analysis, resolution, and prevention on production, test, and quality assurance environments in a timely manner in order to minimize downtime; Research, document and implement process changes to prevent problem re-occurrence. - Project implementation/coordination and production support requiring substantial interaction with vendors, programming and business units. - Design and code automated balancing routines in support of critical business processes; Coordinate implementation of file transmissions; Maintain and support output management software. - Prepare daily production schedule; Communicate changes and issues; Update scheduler database when required; Review daily data center problem report and take appropriate action on assigned problem tickets. - Review programmer documentation for accuracy and completeness, especially for change control; Interact with programmers to fully understand purpose, method, and impact of planned programming changes; Ensure JCL, security, regulatory and corporate standards and policies are enforced. - Responsible for first level on-call for after-hours production processing; Assist in maintenance of the disaster recovery manual as it pertains to production JCL and schedules; Prepare DR scripts and participate in annual DR test.
