Job Description
Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC combines and expands the complementary wheel-end foundation brake technologies of two global leaders - Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC and Dana Commercial Vehicle Products, LLC. The joint venture, formed in July 2004, is your single complete source for brake system research, design, manufacturing, hardware and support for all foundation brake components and actuation systems for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, tractors, trailers, buses and other commercial vehicles in North America and around the globe.

We are looking for a Production Assembly Supervisor to be based in our Bowling Green, Kentucky location.

Responsible for leading the day-to-day assembly activities to achieve performance goals in the areas of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale in a team-based environment. Responsible to drive team member development and continuous improvement activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide leadership for production assembly areas and the production personnel
  • Drive assembly operations to ensure production quality and quantity targets are achieved.
  • Establishing strong and effective working relationships that are conducive to maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Ensure that production personnel are trained and understand their roles, responsibilities, and are given appropriate performance feedback.
  • Communicate with production personnel providing both positive feedback when appropriate and addressing disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Promotes and drive the organizations vision and utilization of Truck Production System (Lean Manufacturing) methodologies.
  • Champion change and facilitate team related functions to improve the business performance.
  • Ability to maintain and improve employee relations
  • Confer with other key personnel to coordinate activities of the shift..
  • Ensure compliance with the plant policies and procedures including requirements for TS16949 and ISO14001.
