POSITION DUTIES:

Core member of the Knorr-Bremse (KB) Global Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) team performing the following:

  • Developing new processes and workflows to optimize product data utilization
  • Project Management
  • Implementing controls to protect intellectual property
  • Assisting in planning activities
  • Developing functional design specifications
  • Configuring Applications
  • Providing work estimates
  • System testing
  • User support and training
  • Developing documentation

Enhance the KB Rail regional business productivity by managing PLM systems and processes. This includes systems such as:

  • Engineering Change Management (ECM/ECN)
  • Part and Bill-of-Material management, ERP System interface
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD), and CAD Data Management
  • Document Management Systems (DMS)
  • All tools related to engineering product development applications

This position will be working closely with a Global team (based in Munich, DE) and a Regional Team (based in Elyria, OH) to integrate PLM systems for cross-functional/cross-company optimization. Perform the above duties regularly as required for all Rail locations in North America.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor Degree, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PLM, 3D CAD, programming languages, and database tools.
  • Knowledge in the following specific systems a plus: PTC Windchill, Siemens NX CAD, SAP, CADIM
  • Performing as an effective member in a global/regional/local team-oriented environment
  • Ability to recognize opportunities and implementing solutions in PLM, PDM, CAD, and engineering processes
