Oracle Applications Database Administrator

Key areas of responsibility are as follows: - Ensure ongoing integrity, performance and consistent uptime for Oracle Applications E-business environment
- Maintain database to ensure continuous optimization
- Provide daily production support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Create, implement and maintain patch management, backup/restore and disaster recovery methodologies
- Assist in the design of solutions pertaining to the Oracle Applications environment such as the creation of interfaces to other applications and the redesign of the Configurator middle tiers, etc.
Ideal candidate qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in Oracle Applications DBA on any one or more of the following platforms; HP MPE/iX, IBM AIX, IBM Linux, Sun Solaris and/or Intel systems is required
- 2+ years of Oracle Database (11i) and Oracle Application support (R12)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Server, Security, Network Administration and Application Development is preferred
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Off-hours availability is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related business area is preferred
