Job Description
The O&PM oversees the planning & execution of TDS' overall operating plan. As TDS is a project based business, the operating plan will consist of programs/projects including development, production, customer service, or special projects. The position is responsible to establish and maintain program/project management processes as the key function within the organization. The position will be responsible for planning and executing small scale production of Simulators or LEADER products. The position will be responsible for planning and executing Customer Service projects. The O&PM ensures that business strategy and operational execution are strongly aligned and processes are consistent across all programs/projects. The O&PM oversees operational planning, prioritization, and evaluation of all projects in the project portfolio. The O&PM manages and is responsibile for the business results of the programs/projects accepted by TDS.

Conduct effective project portfolio management to align project selection and execution with established business goals ensuring that active projects are fully resourced; prepare and make recommendations on resource allocations for current projects and resource demands for potential future projects; track and initiate potential projects as soon as resources are available; maximize the number of projects completed; ensure that visibility of projects is maintained and project issues are addressed proactively; work closely with other TDS managers (Engineering, Quality, Sales and Marketing) to ensure proper skills and disciplines are available to support current and projected business needs; direct production and customer service teams to organize related projects in support of business needs.

Manage key projects and strategic initiatives of the TDS Group NYAB ensuring proper processes and best practices are followed to achieve desired business results.

Oversee and track project management metrics to evaluate the development of Project Management maturity of the group; develop recommendations and lead initiatives necessary to meet target program/project performance metrics as established in the business goals; collaborate with KB colleagues to stay abreast of PM process developments within KB. Support corporate programs as related to Operations and PM for TDS.

Provide functional and administrative leadership for TDS Operations Team; improve the competency of the Operations and Project Management Team by providing adequate training/support; promote team skills and career development within the company.
