Job Description

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems develops and supplies leading-edge active safety technologies, air brake charging and control systems and components under the Bendix® brand name for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, tractors, trailers, buses and other commercial vehicles throughout North America.

We are looking for a National Account Manager-Fleet to be based in the Arkansas area.

This role will:

  • Maintain and grow Bendix sales at assigned national account fleets assigned to position (10-12 Fleets)
  • Provide leadership role in ensuring relationships are cultivated at all level of fleet management.
  • Entertain senior level fleet personnel
  • Meet targeted product volume goals assigned
  • Execute current customer strategies and account plans
  • Orchestrate all fleet needs from new specifications to AM parts growth
  • Work closely with Bendix CoC personnel to ensure customer needs/wants are met and executed
  • Conduct bi-annual technology reviews with fleet key personnel
  • Will be responsible for assigned national fleet accounts and assigned dealers in assigned account territory
  • Dealer responsibility will encompass thorough working relationship with all levels of dealerships assigned plus meeting assigned AM parts sales goals at these dealers
  • Close working relationship with national truck OE sales personnel in assigned territory will be a necessity to execute fleet strategy

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Technical understanding of product line
  • Self starter capable of managing and growing accounts and keeping organization informed of customer requirements
  • Home based office: reside in Arkansas area
  • Up to 75% travel within territory

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in heavy vehicle componants industry-OEM Sales to Fleet customers at a regional or national level
  • Knowledge of heavy truck industry and customer base in assigned territory
  • Full cycle sales
  • Excellent relationship building
  • Bachelors Degree required,
  • Prefer BSEE, BSME or BSBA
  • Knowledge of Bendix products and customer fleet base
  • Good written, presentation and verbal skills capable of discussions at all levels of the Bendix/Knorr and external customer organizations
