What you need for this position:
- 5+ years experience as a MySQL DBA on Unix/Linux
- Extensive experience with advanced replication techniques
- Experience in a 24x7 environment
- Extensive experience with high-volume, high-availability OLTP database systems
- Expertise with UNIX Shell scripting, PL/SQL and SQL
- BS in Computer Science
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for the operations of complex databases that support OLTP and Data Warehouse environments
- SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
- Design/develop data models and review with the application development team
- Establishing guidelines for database design and implementation
- Responsible for regular backup/recovery of data as needed,
- Perform drills related to data security systems and procedures
- Strategic optimization of database availability and redundancy
