A software firm in Chicago is seeking a Microsoft Business Intelligence Analyst to work with external and internal clients to model complex financial data structures using proprietary data modelling tools. Must have strong SQL development skills with Microsoft business stack. Individual must have strong QA skills. Individual must understand Datawarehouse design and design considerations for multidimensional databases. This roll is for a BI Analyst who wants to do more product management. A strong educational background is required (college degree with above 3.5 GPA preferred).

• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including the relational SQL engine, Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services.
• Candidates should be prepared to discuss the most-frequently used methodologies for Datawarehouse design, subsystems for ETL, and design considerations for multidimensional databases.
• Experience writing and tuning complex MDX is helpful.
• Strong business analysis skills are required. Candidates should have a successful history of analysing and documenting business needs, identifying potential solutions, and developing an argument for one solution over all others. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• An exemplary academic record with computer science, engineering, information systems, or finance coursework is required. Experience and knowledge of various development processes and the software development life cycle is helpful.
