Position Summary
CCCi's client has an immediate need for a full time Manager of Production Control. The main responsibility of this role will be to direct activities associated with production control and coordination for production applications supporting critical business processes for our client's lines of business. This includes developing, administering and executing preventive maintenance programs, overseeing problem management, performing root cause analysis and corrective action plans, providing vendor management, administering and report on vendor and client SLAs. The selected candidate also acts as the interface between our client's internal lines of business, internal IT staff and vendors in the day-to-day production support of critical applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with project and development teams to ensure solutions are aligned with acceptable support requirements and that the transition and delivery of new or upgrades systems are seamlessly moved to production support teams and suppliers.
- Monitor production system performance, availability and supports costs and reports status related to plan to ensure client expectations are met.
- Ensure Quality Control and Assurance procedures are consistent with project specifications, client requirements and corporate policies.
- Manage the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for area of accountability including updating of the DR plan, periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency
- Work with various SMEs and suppliers to perform reviews and/or Root Cause Analysis on production systems failures, formulate corrective action plans, ensure corrective actions are implemented and track their effectiveness.
- Develop and manage the preventive maintenance programs for area of accountability including: patching, upgrades, tuning, performance management, etc.
- Lead technical staff and vendors and consultants to identify and resolve complex client application and hardware problem impacting availability and performance
- Coordinate weekly problem management meetings with the clients and support teams to discuss all open issues and tickets and to prioritize remediation efforts with planned maintenance and other activities
- Coordinate planned outages for systems in area of accountability with the LOB and IT.
- Manage and communicate problem resolution and system restoration status during unplanned outage events to LOB and IT Senior Management.
- After hours callout is required in the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least six, typically eight or more years' experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of two years in programming/analysis, or without a Bachelor's degree, at least ten years' experience in Information Technology, with a minimum if two years in programming/analysis.
- Technical experience in the development and support of various Client Server and web based applications
- Excellent communication and consultative skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff
- Broad understanding of application development and support methodologies
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) process, project management, database technology, and operating system components
- In-depth understanding and demonstrated experience applying IT systems management disciplines
- Three or more years' experience in an IT Operations role supporting critical applications and/or infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management in the day-to-day activities related to supporting critical systems
- Excellent analytical ability and strong judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with peers, clients and vendors.
- Understanding of general IT standards, policies, best practices, guidelines, processes.
- Strong communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation; teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with internal client from various business organizations and lines of business, and IT management and staff

Preferred Requirements
- Advanced degree in Information Systems or Masters of Business Administration
- Extensive application development and coding experience in one or more technologies
- Extensive experience in application and infrastructure design, implementation and support
- Experience developing and supporting applications related to Utility power plants monitoring and maintenance
- Certifications related to application development and support
- Experience in business process management (BPM)
- Project Management (PMP) or other professional certifications
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams of technical resources, consultants and vendors
