Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Mechanical Cad Tech III on a --CONTRACT TYPE-- opportunity with a leading company in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Mechanical Technician must be able to do basic mechanical design and or mechanical troubleshooting, needed for project work. Mechanical Tech requires the ability to use Autocad, ability to read mechanical design schematics, understanding of basic dimensioning, tolerances, heat load considerations. Knowledge of OSHA and/or safety implications to design. Must be able to work on cross-functional teams in high pressure environment. Able to work under general or ambiguous objective. Able to be autonomous and work without direct supervision. General Description: Include general responsibilities of the position Design fixes to chronic production issues. Complete drawing packages Provide production support as needed Direct trades activities Contact outside vendors/supplier Requirements Good attention to detail Good equipment and process troubleshooting skills. Good hands on mechanical skills necessary. Good written and verbal communication skills (detailed oriented). Self-directed, able to work autonomously or with limited direct supervision. Able to work with a variety of engineers and engineering disciplines.
