Job Title: Sr. Technician, Manufacturing/Biologics Operations

THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE ALTERNATING WEEKEND COVERAGE AS PART OF A 12 HOUR SHIFT ROTATION.

Job Responsibilities/Department description:
This is a day-time shift position (7am - 7pm) in a newly constructed large scale cGMP cell culture facility. The primary areas of responsibilities for this position are within Inoculation Preparation.

  • Operate complex systems and equipment in strict accordance with current GMP's, SOP's, and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in troubleshoot processing problems.
  • Assist and/or lead the implementation of production procedures.
  • Train less experienced or new staff on new procedures.
  • Author complex new procedures as well as revise current procedures.
  • Receive little to no instructions on routine assignments while under little or no supervisor.
  • Execute cross training within the Media Preparation and Perfusion Bioreactor areas.

    Qualifications
    Basic Qualifications:
    BS degree or at least 1-2 years prior experience operating in accordance with standard operating procedures. This position requires physical demand of lifting up to 30-40 pounds and may involve work with hazardous materials.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    2 plus years of cGMP biotech operations experience. Preferred candidates will have good documentation skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
