Manufacturing Technician | CNC Programmer | CNC Machinist (AUTOCAD)

The Manufacturing Technician collects process and product design data and incorporates to prepare clear, complete, and accurate working product and process plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes by performing the following duties:

  • Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, check dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project
  • Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings, or develop new processes
  • Collects and analyzes data for new or improved product/process design(s)
  • Implements and updates ISO standards and procedures
  • Uses Engineering Nomenclature System for product, process, tooling and machinery drawings
  • Uses AutoCAD 2000, 2D/3D wire frames and solids including sectioning, isometric tolerancing, assembly drawings and subassembly drawings
  • Implements proper tolerancing, dimensioning, and drafting standards
  • Maintains the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process
  • Maintains Routing/BOM's and master files in syteline
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Manufacturing Technician with some or all of the following skill sets:
  • Machinist with tool room knowledge
  • CNC programmer/operator
  • Hardinge Lathe (Fanuc 21i)
  • Mazak Quickturn
  • Process Technician
  • Tool and fixture design
  • Machine maintenance
  • Outside vendor/tooling interface
  • AutoCAD 2000
  • PLC program support
  • Injection molding (thermoset) a plus
  • Soldering/Brazing a plus
Qualifications:
  • Extensive work history in the manufacturing field (or Associate's Degree/Technical School Certification)
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
