THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE ALTERNATING WEEKEND COVERAGE AS PART OF A 12 HOUR SHIFT (7:00am - 7:00pm) ROTATION.

Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor - Small Scale Inoculation Preparation

Job Responsibilities/Department description:
This is a day-time shift position in a new large scale cGMP cell culture facility which includes Inoculation Preparation (Spinners), Media Preparation, Perfusion Bioreactor operations, and Equipment Preparation. The Supervisor position is expected to:
  • Supervise the Small Scale Spinner area which includes laminar flow hoods, warm room, analytical instrumental, and media bottling filling.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership attributes and provide work direction to staff.
  • Manage the performance of team members.
  • Operate complex systems and equipment in strict accordance with current GMP's, SOP's, and safety guidelines.
  • Serve as a technical resource focal point for questions and/or troubleshooting activities.
  • Train less experienced or new staff on new procedures.
  • Author complex new procedures as well as revise current procedures.
  • Apply advanced concepts while performing the most complex tasks of the position.
  • Qualifications
    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences/Engineering. 5 plus years of related lab or manufacturing experience including 1 to 2 years experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing environment preferred. Must have prior experience in cGMP cell culture operations including aseptic HOOD techniques, analytical instrumentation, and sterile processing. This position also requires physical demands of lifting up to 30-35 pounds and may involve work with hazardous materials.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    4 plus years of cGMP cell culture operations experience. Candidates should also demonstrate good technical writing skills, strong troubleshooting skills, be familiar with biologics regulations, and have previous experience with project management. Ideal candidates will have experience with automated control systems (Delta V or equivalent).
