Job Responsibilities/Department Description:
Outstanding opportunity to join a fast paced team that is seeking to continuously improve & expand training capabilities for Genzyme's orthopedic products in both mature & emerging markets. Through extensive assessment & collaboration with cross functional stakeholders you will design impactful training plans supporting commercial effectiveness. This position reports to the Director of Sales Training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate training programs, curricula, and corresponding training materials for field representatives and management
  • Organize, facilitate, and continually improve field training, meetings, and the deployment of new materials
  • Establish new hire training protocol for international field hires to ensure completion of all training materials
  • Proactively conduct on-going communications with field leaders and other key stakeholders to identify training needs and develop specific training objectives to meet those needs
  • Develop and conduct training presentations on disease states, products, and contextual selling skills for all types of audiences
  • Partner with Corporate Learning & Development to ensure alignment with company learning & development philosophy
  • Manage the identification and selection of vendors as well as manage subsequent relationships and projects relating to field training
  • Attend appropriate training classes to maintain an advanced level of knowledge
  • Document and maintain policies and procedures for areas of responsibility
  • Completion of ad hoc projects and analysis relating to group responsibilities as requested

    Qualifications
    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree with 5 + years of specialty pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales experience; documented proven performance as individual contributor; Proven experience to create, develop & lead projects.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    3-5+ years of sales management leading direct reports to exceed sales objectives with a leading biotechnology/pharmaceutical company; Outstanding track record of coaching and mentoring resulting in the development of others; 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing or sales training; Experience in adult education principles; Experience with the call points of orthopedics, rheumatology, or pain management; Fluency in a second language is a plus. Exceptional communication skills; In-depth understanding of sales & the sale process; Proven ability to organize complex content into customized workshops for diverse audiences, Demonstrated ability to work independently; Manage projects that require collaboration across functional areas including Marketing, Market Research, Managed Markets, Medical Affairs, Operations, Finance, Information Technology and Corporate Learning & Development; Team player able to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders; Natural ability to flex & adapt in Real Time based on multiple channels of feedback

    Travel Requirements:
    40% travel; Must hold a valid US passport with no travel restriction
