Position Summary
CCCi's client has an open, full time position for a Manager of Data and Business Intelligence in the Newark Metropolitan area. The selected individual will be responsible to lead Information Technology associates accountable for the overall delivery of IT projects related to Data Management and Business Intelligence. He or she will provide expert knowledge, thought leadership and direction in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Mining, and Predictive Analytics. This position is also accountable for leadership and direction for enterprise Data Management and Data Architecture including data modelling, information delivery and data re-use strategies and managing resources and project teams in the development of quality information management solutions that will deliver information that is accurate, consistent, and timely and optimize the use of our client's information assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage, lead and ensure the efficient delivery of integrated data management solutions and systems and information to the client's businesses to maximize the client's shareholder return; including:
* Leading and managing the requirements analysis
* Internal proposal preparation and/or evaluation
* RFP development
* Vendor statement of work evaluation
* Tool selection
* Implementation planning
* Solution development
* Testing and production turnover.
- Provide direction and guidance to the Data and Business Analysis team including geographically dispersed teams of technical resources, consultants and vendors; to ensure that internal quality processes, programs and standards for development efforts are followed.
- Plan, manage, oversee and maintain budgets, accurate forecasts, and variance explanations for the associated area of accountability and departmental budget including adhering to all budgeting/spending guidelines
- Review and approve cost benefit analyses and cost estimates for the team's work initiatives and ensure methods to measure post-implementation return on investment are developed and utilized
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
- Perform career development, coaching, technical guidance, counseling, and performance management.
- Implement strategy and plans enhancing the use and usefulness of the Business Intelligence systems, architecture and governance to support business outcomes.
- Provide input to the development and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise-wide IT Business Intelligence and analytics strategy and five-year business plan for the assigned area of accountability.
- Manage and track progress of projects in area of responsibility with respect to scope, schedule, budget and results. Establish and maintain quality and performance indicators in order to meet project and departmental delivery targets and quality goals.

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years of diverse work experience in IT, or without a Bachelor's degree at least 15, typically 20 or more years of diverse work experience in IT
- Five or more years of business intelligence, information management and analytics experience
- Five or more years' experience managing projects and teams successfully delivering Business Intelligence applications and solutions including the requirements gathering, design, build, test and implementation phases of an application life cycle.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in information management, architectures, BI and ETL tools/product suites and best practices, and demonstrated leadership in establishing and enforcing information management disciplines, governance and standards
- Strong knowledge of data modelling and experience integrating internal and external data sources
- Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of the technical and business issues in all of the following areas: Applications or Information Architecture, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Product Management, Operations/Production support including Incident/crisis management and root cause analysis.
- At least five years' experience supervising or managing the activities of technical staff as direct reports or through a Matrix relationship providing career development, coaching, technical guidance, counseling, and performance management as direct reports
- Demonstrated capability/experience creating and maintaining relationships with external support vendors and technology suppliers.
- Self-starting with the demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and documented experience of strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong communications, consultative and interpersonal skills, including oral, written and presentation; teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners and clients.

Preferred Requirements
- Graduate degree in Computer Science/Information Management or Masters of Business Administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP's Business Intelligence, Netweaver XI/PI, SEM product suites
- Demonstrated experience with the following products; Informatica, Business Objects, Erwin
- Demonstrated experience with data archiving strategies, tools and projects
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working in shared services (Corporate provided HR, SCM, Finance services) environment is preferred.
- Experience managing project delivery within a system life cycle methodology, ASAP-based methodology, and/or Six Sigma/Process Excellence based project.
- Familiarity with Portals, EAI and SOA architectures and Business Process Manage
