Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however, other duties may be assigned.

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and replace or repair defective parts.
• Repairs/installs electrical equipment.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Rebuild used equipment.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Construct/Install new equipment.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Test performance of devices after repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment/machinery.
• Keep safety equipment up to standards.
• Maintain building and grounds.
• Repair electrical equipment.
