Job Description
Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support to the plant floor
Assist in developing a business plan for the machining area
Develop plan to enhance machining capabilities
Create & Implement strategies to improve the machining operators skills
Assist with the quote process for new machining projects
Provide technical support for maintenance engineers and machining engineers
Champion introduction of new products to plant's machining operation
Assure adherence to the TS-16949 plant and corporate procedures within the machining area
Support continuous improvement activities for the plant's machining departments which include lean manufacturing initiatives.
Develop and prepare capital projects for the machining area

Required Skills
Tooling/fixturing design experience
CNC Machining and Programming Experience
Demonstrated Project Management Experience
Demonstrated history of increasing productivity in a machining environment
Ability and desire to provide daily hands on floor support
Experience in solving in solving manufacturing issues, knowledge of SPC, Gage R&R & CPK
Computer skills, CAD and Microsoft Office software etc Excellent time management skills with a sense of urgency
Strong interpersonal skills
