Job Description
If you are passionate about Cloud Computing, Software as a Service (SaaS) and have experience in managing Linux/Unix based environments and cloud architectures, we are interested in talking to you.
We are looking for candidates with strong Linux system administration skills who will work the front-lines to ensure stability and performance of our cloud systems and solutions. Candidate will be responsible for supporting infrastructure services Respond and troubleshoot issues with infrastructure and customer-facing cloud services. There are endless opportunities for motivated Linux Admins to fine tune cloud based solutions and engage in proactive monitoring to ensure high up-time for private and public cloud instances. Such services include proactive monitoring and support of web Servers, database Servers, Mail Servers, load balancers and Back End systems.
The responsibilities of the Systems Operation Linux Sys Admin are:
- Maintaining and deploying Linux Servers, services, and clusters
- Strong experience in deployment/management and configuration of Tomcat/Apache/Liferay Portal
- Learn cloud based technologies and help bridge the gap between development teams and support teams.
- Mastering and becoming subject-matter-expert of Cloud Solutions.
- Working closely with the Engineering teams to deploy new services and solutions.
- Participating in customer calls to help debug/troubleshoot issues.
Job Requirements
The most competitive candidate will have the following:
3+ years' experience as a Linux Administrator (RedHat and/or CentOS would be a plus)
Experience with setup/deployment and configuration of Liferay Portal will be a big plus.
Experience configuring and managing Apache, Tomcat, Identity Management (openAM) and similar Open Source cloud solutions
Experience in installing/configuring databases (Oracle SE, EnterpriseDB, Postgress & MS SQL)
Any experience with WAN Optimization devices and/or technologies from Riverbed and/or Cisco WASS would be a big plus.
Strong understanding of Java Applications, JRE environments and how to trouble Java server and clients applications
Experience Internet technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP & ICMP) and ability to setup Virtual Machines (VM tools from VMWare) will be required.
Experience developing/debugging web applications
Any experience with setup/configuration of cloud providers such as Amazon and/or others will be a puls.
Experience Scripting/debugging in PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python, or any other programming languages such as Groovy/Grails will also be a big plus.
