Job Description: (Description) This is a level 1 or 2 desktop support role here at Broadridge. Responsible for day to day desktop support across SPS facilities Create tickets in Remedy system to track problems and requests. Heavy email and phone support. Account creation and administration in Active Directory, Exchange, and Postini. VPN administration and support. Troubleshooting desktop related issues. Document procedures. Ensure the availability of supported Systems and Applications. Provide Blackberry support. Provide support to local and remote user accounts. Follow-up with end user to ensure satisfaction. Attend meetings requiring representation of the Internal Help Desk. Other applications supported: Citrix, Office 2007, Office 2010, Adobe Reader, Java, IBM Sametime, Rumba, Visio, Project, and Access. As Level 1 - 2 support, must work closely with other groups to ensure timely resolution. Qualifications Required: (Experience, Skills, Academic) 5 Year's experience in the Windows desktop. Information technology field.3-5 years hands on experience in LAN administration and desktop support. Strong working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7 Exchange 2003, 2007 Active Directory. Strong knowledge of IBM and HP desktops and laptops. Knowledge of Lotus Notes a plus, but not required. Highly motivated self-starter - ability to work independently and within a team environment. Excellent time management, organizational, oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and phone skills. Excellent research skills - Resourcefulness. Education: Bachelors (highly preferred)
