Kurdish Linguist (when applying refer to job order: 886194)

CLEARANCE:
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance w/FS Polygraph or equivalent required. (Some candidates will be accepted and pipelined on a case-by-case basis and may be deployed on a "Deemed Deployable status ).

ATS is looking for Kurdish linguists required for a travel position supporting the US Government. This position will generally require employees to travel 9 months out of the year (3 months on/1 month off), but when not travelling you may live anywhere in the United States. While travelling you may be asked to perform a wide variety of language related tasks, including but not limited to, triage, gisting, idiomatically correct translation, audio/video transcription/translation and consecutive interpretation.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Candidates must be proficient at a level 3 on the ILR or equivalent scale in translation, speaking and listening, as well as be able to pass an English comprehension test.
2. Excellent Kurdish and English skills an absolute must
3. Successful candidates must be able to travel to Northern Virginia to take a Government Proctored Language exam in order to be considered for this position.
