Hand Assembly Operator - Part Time  

Contract
1. Perform hand assembly operations according to work instructions, specification sheets, and/or sketches as instructed.
2. Perform processing and assembly work to prepare parts and/or lamps (assemble, weld, solder, form, shape, cut trim, getter, etc.) using proper tools, jigs, fixtures, and/or other aids. Load and/or unload any power-operated equipment. Apply cement and base lamps.
3. During assembly operations, check components and finished product for obvious defects such as improper spacing or alignment, deformations, cracks, chips, dents, and/or discoloration. Check for general appearance. Check and tray/pack as instructed. Perform any required rework, adjusting and/or reshaping, gauging, and/or specialized checking as instructed.
4. Contact designated personnel as required to maintain necessary supplies and remove completed work. Relocate supplies and completed work whenever possible to reduce or eliminate delays and work stoppages. Perform other related work such as maintain SPC, production, and other required records as instructed, etc.
5. Rotate positions as necessary to meet production demands.
6. Train less experienced employees.
7. Perform each phase of the operation in full compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
8. Perform and assume full responsibility for his/her Responsible to practice good workmanship and fully meet the quality requirements of the job with respect to product or service provided to fellow employees or customers.
9. Notify designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, process, or equipment.
10. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area (s) and observe company policies at all times.

Requirements:
The ability to read, write, comprehend and use mathematics to the level required by the job. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
