Job Description:
Position Summary:
Plan, develop and implement a variety of Human Resource functions to support the attainment of the facility/department goals and objectives.  Assist in the resolution of human resource issues and promote enhanced organizational efficiency, communication and understanding.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
Essential Functions:
¨ Take an active role in understanding business issues and recommend and develop approaches and programs to address them
¨ Recruit, hire and develop hourly and salaried personnel
¨ Direct the administration of workers' compensation, wage and salary, benefits, 401(k) and pension plans.
¨ Interpret and administer the collective bargaining agreement, including grievance investigation and responses, and participation in contract negotiations
¨ Direct compliance with regulatory agencies, ie: OSHA, EEOC
¨ Assist in the coordination of the safety program
¨ Explain and administer company policies and procedures including participation in new employee orientation
¨ Develop and maintain equal employment opportunity programs, including affirmative action and glass ceiling planning and administration
¨ Maintain HRIS data base ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and other employee information
¨ Coordinate a variety of company social functions ie: service award banquet, employee picnic, Christmas Party
¨ Facilitate group processes and enable and encourage employee involvement, problem solving, targets and BP concepts
¨ Prepare and manage departmental budget
¨ Conduct annual Ethics, health care, safety or other training meetings as required

Job Requirement:
Qualifications:1. Education
¨ Four year college degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline

2. Experience
¨ Minimum of five years experience in Human Resources in a majority of the functional areas described, preferably in a manufacturing environment

3. Computer Skills
¨ Demonstrated competency in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

4. Travel Requirement
¨ Minimal travel required

5. Personal Skills
¨ Able to effectively communicate and build relationship at all levels within the facility
¨ Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
¨ Thomas Profile
