We have an immediate opening for a Facilities Manager in our NE OH Corporate Head Quarters located in Elyria.

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of facility engineering including property management, project management, facility renovation and maintenance, and site security. This position will perform administrative and development duties related to overall facilities engineering activities for Elyria site. This position will also support other North American regional facilities during major projects and for strategic evaluations.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop long-term facility strategy and layouts with various departments for long term capital and expense spending plans and annual budget plans.
  • Responsible for space planning, renovation, maintenance and operating programs.
  • Lead individual Facilities projects related to the Elyria site to meet growth, safety, and functional excellence objectives.
  • Manage and improve processes and systems to improve the site maintenance functions utilizing SAP PM system.
  • Provides plant engineering support function and technical expertise for the facilities machinery and equipment.
  • Maintains facilities AutoCAD files and historical building information.
  • Lead overall energy management of the Elyria site including procurement of utilities, energy metering, and energy reduction programs.
  • Manages the security department and processes including developing leading security strategies.
  • Administrator for the Honeywell HVAC, fire and security system.
  • Real-estate and property management along with tenant lease negotiations, experience a plus.
  • Manage contract services and food services for Elyria facility.
  • Leader in emergency response.
  • Directs and coaches the facilities team and onsite contractors.
  • Understand and promote company facility guidelines in all projects.
  • Provide directional support for other North American facilities including but not limited to strategic facility planning evaluations. and project management support for construction/renovation projectsDetailed knowledge of facility layout planning, building systems, operations, management and maintenance for commercial/industrial buildings including HSE considerations.
  • Functional knowledge of automated building management systems - HVAC, Fire & security.
  • Functional knowledge of maintenance and operation of central boiler & chiller plant and building operations systems.
  • Knowledge of building construction trades procedures and processes.
  • Compliance to OSHA, OBBC, NEC and other regulatory agencies.
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and operational thinking skills.
  • Structured and organized planner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to energize others when necessary.
  • Requires occasional travel during projects.
