Job Duties and Responsibilities
What will this Position Offer You?

You will:

  • Comprehend and articulate the function and purpose of each segment in the Combat Survivor Evade Locator (CSEL) system.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the UNIX operating system and the networking required to install a CSEL Workstation and troubleshoot the system when problems occur.
  • Must have the ability to work multiple tasks and maintain continuity with each task and team member involved.
  • Interpret test planning documents, write and assist in writing detailed test procedures and data collection requirements
  • Perform test runs to ensure the procedures and the data collection are what is desired
  • Establish data analysis procedures and test the accuracy of the results
  • Write test scenarios by modifying existing scenarios or establishing new scenarios from the appropriate test planning documents.
  • Set up test equipment without supervision, and conduct specialized tests. Test equipment includes but is not limited to signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Write detailed procedures to be used with each application where the test equipment is used and be able to instruct other workers in their use.
  • Prepare reports on anomalies found during testing and communicate with the systems engineers to affect required changes or repairs.
  • Communicate on a technical and personal level. Interact with vendors at their facilities and with their technical personnel.

    Position Requirements:

    • High School graduate. An Associate's Degree is desirable
    • 3 years experience
    • Must have a working knowledge of the UNIX operating system and the networking required to install a CSEL Workstation and troubleshoot the system when problems occur
    • Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
    • Experience with test tools such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes
    • Able to work varied shifts, weekends, overtime and travel occasionally
    • Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

    Security Requirements: Secret

    Qualifications
    Requires High School diploma or equivalent, and four to five years of related experience. Technical training equivalent to an Associate's degree preferred
