Job Duties and Responsibilities
What will this Position Offer You?

You will:

  • Perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations.
  • Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments.
  • Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress.
  • Performs one or a combination of such typical duties as:
    - Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment
    - Conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors
    - Extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well- defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in using Military Radios.
  • Experience in using spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
  • Knowledge of installation, maintenance, and operation of tactical radios.
  • Knowledge of operation of Blue Force Tracker
  • Knowledge of using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters and ohmmeters for measurement of RF, VSWR, Desensitization, COSITE, and Electromagnetic Environment (EME)
  • Knowledge of signal generators and amplifiers for creating an RF environment.
  • Familiarization with MANCAT is definitely a desired capability.
  • Ability to Handle Stress and work well under pressure.
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
  • Typing skills and basic computer skills with functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products

    Position Requirements:

    • High School graduate
    • 5 years experience
    • Must reside in Yuma or be willing to relocate to Yuma at own expense
    • Must be able to work both inside and outside in the desert environment for extended periods (10-12 hours per day)
    • The test activities require day and night shifts and the candidate must be able to work either shift for a normal 6 day work week but periodically there will be 7 day work weeks
    • Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

    Security Requirements: Secret

    Qualifications
    Requires High School diploma or equivalent, and four to five years of related experience. Technical training equivalent to an Associate's degree preferred
