Job Description:
The Engineering Supervisor will develop and improve manufacturing processes; direct and delegate resources to effectively support new product realization, manage projects and coordinate with other functional areas to achieve customer and division requirements and targets. This position is a liaison for technical support with Application/Product Engineers and Supply Chain resources for product quality, development, and feasibility. Additionally, this position is responsible for assessing and developing team and individuals' competencies to meet the strategic needs of our division. 

This critical position is responsible for providing technical support and leading a professional team of engineers and technicians dedicated to our machining and final finishing manufacturing processes and operations.

Job Requirement:
Department administration which includes performance evaluations, hiring of new employees, employee training and development, disciplinary action, budgeting, etc.
Review and approval of engineering output for accuracy and correctness.
Outputs include engineering change requests, product configuration changes, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Establish and maintain procedures and documentation compliant with ISO 9000.
Prioritize and direct daily department activities to ensure effective and efficient completion of department objectives.
Perform technical work including preparation of design layouts, specifications, engineering investigations, calculations, failure analyses.
Initiation and continuous improvement of good engineering design, practices and procedures. This includes implementing redesign to improve manufacturing and to eliminate potential field problems.
Technical support for manufacturing, production designs, customers and marketing.
Maintaining a functioning laboratory for product test and evaluation.
Independently defines tasks and efficiently applies department resources to ensure their timely completion.

Other Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering field required; Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Process Engineering, and seven or more years of experience in engineering and supervision. Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership abilities. Solid understanding and utilization experience of Lean Manufacturing methodology and tools. Strong project management capabilities. Experience with high volume manufacturing of precision machined products is preferred.
