Job Description:
Engineer will be required to design, implement and support all technologies related to Voice, VoIP, and Video over IP Technologies. This person will be a process improvement strategist for convergence technologies. They will also provide incident support - Tier III for VoIP and Video over IP. They will provide pre-sales support for all convergence technologies. They will interface directly with client Labs on issues relating to acceptance and testing of various convergent technologies. Engineer will also be responsible for the following: Audio Conferencing, PBX, IP Telephony, Voice Mail, and IP Hosting. Engineer must possess knowledge in Legacy TDM voice technologies in relation to trunking, transmissions and capacity. The Voice Engineer will be considered a subject matter expert in all areas of the Voice and Video technologies and as such, is expected to stay current with these technologies and provide support to the entire Account team when requested.

Required Skills:
- Candidate must have solid and successful experience in the disciplines defined above as well as excellent client interfacing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management.
- Knowledge of VoIP products a must (ie types of products - Cisco CUCM, IOS Routers, Nortel CS1000 and Legacy voice PBX vendors).
- Ability to work varied hours and weekends a must.
- Written, oral, inter-personal and computer skills are a must.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- The ability to focus and effectively manage your time on projects is a must.
- Trunking and transmissions and reporting of trunking and capacity are skills that must be demonstrated.
- Ability to adapt various systems and customer environments to a converged technology (ie convert a Legacy TDM site to an IPT site).

Desired Skills:
-Bachelor's degree preferred.
-Minimum of 7 - 10 years experience required in Voice and Voice related disciplines.
-Nortel Certifications in Voice technologies and Cisco CCVP certification are strongly preferred.
-The candidate must be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment as well as in a stand alone role.
