Are you a bright EIT with at least two years of electrical engineering experience in the commercial, federal, industrial or healthcare arena?

Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we are a boutique electrical engineering firm experiencing rapid growth and an overwhelming number of projects. Due to our success, we are looking to add a talented EIT to join our team. You will be exposed to a wide variety of fields as you work on challenging projects which include but are not limited to: Controls/Automation, Construction Management, Distributed Generation, Energy Retrofit, Energy Audits, Facility Electrical Design, Lighting, Feasibility Studies, Photovoltaics and Security Systems.

What do you need to qualify?
- 2-5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in related industries
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate
- AutoCAD and BIM Software
- NEC, IEEE and other related standards
- RS Means or other cost estimating manuals and software
- Government experience is a huge plus
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have or be eligible for security clearance

What will you be doing?
- Working with Engineers and Designers to help develop all aspects of a project
- Review and approval of electrical system including lighting and power, security, public address, telephone/data, cable TV, electrical schematics, panel layouts and single line diagrams
- Review and approval of fire alarm systems
- Review and approval of cable and conduit size based on load, voltage drop, correction factors
- Review and approval of lighting calculations, voltage drop, short circuit, arc Flash, energy
- Interpret MEP drawings, architectural, civil, instrumentation and controls wiring
- Recommend and specify electrical equipment
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Write procedures, specifications and standards for implementation by the electrical design group
- Utilize various types of electronic test and recording equipment to verify voltages, currents, and other electrical characteristics
- Performs field investigations and meetings with appropriate individuals and/or services to develop design requirements/solutions for assigned projects
- Interface with customers at a technical level and assist with system installations and customer service problems
- Incorporate specific customer specifications and standards into the electrical system design
- Energy Audits including energy savings calculations (eQuest or similar)
- Construction administration including answering RFIs, submittal review, and final inspection
- Proposal preparation with clients
