Datawarehouse Financial Analyst	Contract/Permanent

The primary role of the Datawarehouse Analyst will be to develop programs to update, extract and analyze information from the Oracle Datawarehouse using Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Discoverer, Application Express and Microsoft Access. The Analyst will also be involved with the ongoing development and maintenance of the warehouse. Projects include account, customer and product profitability analysis and product design. Emphasis is placed on system accuracy and controls. The successful candidate will have a college degree and four years of related experience. The candidate must have good communication, problem solving and SQL skills and experience with Microsoft Access and Excel. This position requires a self-starter with good problem solving skills. Banking experience and a working knowledge of Oracle Application Express and Discoverer are a plus. JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE Develop programs to update, extract and analyze information from the Oracle Datawarehouse using Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Discoverer and Microsoft Access. Provide financial information and analyses to management to support customer profitability, product profitability and product design. Provide database support for Accounting staff members. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Datawarehouse. Update and analyze information from the Datawarehouse. Analyze account, customer and product profitability. DUTIES Manage the loading and balancing of the Datawarehouse. Modify and develop data load and balancing procedures as part of the ongoing development of the warehouse. Develop and maintain documentation of the load and balancing processes. Develop and maintain documentation of the tables and fields to support users' understanding of the warehouse. Develop reports and analyses to meet ongoing and project related information needs. Develop reporting applications using Application Express. Support users in Accounting and other departments in their use of the Datawarehouse and various reporting tools. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS College degree in finance with 4 years of related experience. Strong SQL skills. Strong Microsoft Access and skills. Self-starter with good problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, Working knowledge of Oracle Application Express and Discoverer is a plus.
