Database Developer  

Contract
Link Technologies is currently looking for a Database Developer for a Three week contract position then converts to a direct hire in Las Vegas, NV. Please apply immediately if you are looking for a great project!

Job Description
Works with business requirements analyst to identify and understand source data systems
Hands on experiences w/SQL
Working knowledge of SSIS
Maps source system data to Datawarehouse models
Develops and tests extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
Defines and captures meta data and rules associated with ETL processes
Adapts ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements
Work as third level support of business critical applications.
Create support documentation specific to deployment
Create and implement solutions to increase productivity and benefit of Datawarehouse based applications
Identify areas improve efficiency in data extraction techniques and query optimization
Provide database specific information to aid in query development and troubleshooting

Job Requirements:
Four (4) years Information Technology environment
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
Excellent communication (verbal and writing) skills
Excellent people and client management skills
A recent industry certification reflecting education on current technology standards
Experience with IBM/Ascential Products (DataStage).
Experience with IBM DB2, Oracle, MS SQL, and Teradata highly desired.
