Database Administrator

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools is the largest regional accrediting agency in the United States, serving more than 1,000 affiliated colleges and universities in a nineteen-state region. The Commission has approximately 45 employees.

The Commission is seeking a permanent, Full time Database Administrator who will be responsible for the design, development and administration of databases utilized by the Higher Learning Commission. The position manages, documents and supports a variety of database systems; designs and develops applications; performs complex technical analytical reporting and analysis; provides application integration with existing database systems; and performs related duties as assigned. Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) administration and maintenance, database design, analysis, and development using Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and FileMaker Pro including custom report writing are required. Experience with cross-platform data migration is highly desirable, as are a proven ability to work independently and as a team member, and to adapt to changes in technology.

An Information Technology or related degree is required.
