DBA - SQL/Server (Senior)  

Permanent
ZERO travel, full-time, Sr. SQL Server DBA position paying $90-120K base + relo with our client in Madison, WI. We have placed several people here and they LOVE it! Here's why:

4 REQUIREMENTS:

(1) Relocation - You will move to Wisconsin (Madison).
(2) You want a Full time job (not a consulting job!)
(3) Education - Four year degree is positively required
(4) DBA (SQL Server) experience - 5+ years with 80% or more of below

- Versions: SQL Server 2005/2008
- Enterprise-level env't: SQL Server experience in database administration involving management of many SQL Systems, including complex clusters, mirrors, replicated databases and partitions in a highly dynamic enterprise-level environment
- SQL Utilities: (SQL Profiler, DMVs, system stored procedures, etc
- Proven ability to maintain multiple development, QA and production SQL Server environments
- Experience with performance tuning
- Experience with data integrity, data retention, data analysis and data input/output processing and improving SQL code performance efficiency
- Excellent T-SQL and ability to write stored procedures, UDF's and triggers, debugging and performance tuning stored procedures, advanced index analysis
- Hands-on experience creating, maintaining and supporting database schemas
- Hands-on experience of hardware including RAID, Shared Disk, SAN, multi-processor architecture, networking and SQL Server connectivity
- Advanced SSIS package design
- Advance knowledge of SQL Analytics including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and SSNS
- Must have the ability to create tools from scratch needed for database administration

DUTIES:

This global Mfg company just moved to SAP. They have been using Cognos for years but they are ripping it out and moving this data over to SAP (SAP - BI).
Their BI team has two people on it: an SAP BI expert (that we placed here) and another person that is doing both DBA and BI work.
They need a 3rd person added to this team. They need someone with excellent SQL Server DBA/Development experience. If you have ever been a Sr. SQL Server DBA in a company running SAP, that would be icing on the cake.
Develop complex databases to support enterprise level, high volume business applications
Participate in the creation of SQL development standards while adhering to policies, methodologies, standards, and guidelines.
Build, maintain and support complex SQL stored procedures in collaboration with other IT Development or DBA staff.
Participate and/or lead the efforts to gather requirements analysis for new projects.
Act as an internal consultant, working closely with the user community and fellow IT staff to successfully architect, design, model, implement, integrate, test and maintain databases and related applications.
Identify security requirements, including creation of new roles and/or addition to existing for a given line of business.
Responsible for meeting all assigned/agreed on target dates for projects as well as individual tasks.

COMPENSATION:
