DB2 Database Engineer DBA	Permanent

Prestigious Enterprise Company, located in the Kenosha, Wisconsin area, is currently seeking a DB2 Database Engineer with experience on the IBN iSeries platform. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain, enhance & develop IBM i DB2 databases * Develop & manage DB2 for i database standards & practices * Work with the Database Review committee to drive Legacy Database modernization efforts * Create indexing strategy & periodically review indexes for tables * Experience managing database objects (Schemas, Views, Tables, Stored Procedures, Triggers) * Work with Application Development teams to develop data models that support business processes & ensure changes adhere to best practices & are properly prioritized/scheduled * 5+ years experience working in an IT department as a multi-platform database professional (Administrator, Designer, Developer, Architect) * Must have experience with IBM i, RPG & SQL * Hands-on programming experience with stored procedures, SQL & Triggers * Experience implementing databases using proper data modelling & normalization principles * Experience with ETL tools such as DTS/SSIS, Informatica, DataStage a plus * Experience with database performance analysis & tuning in an IBM i environment * Good understanding of DDS physical and logical file objects * Willing to be part of DBA after hours on-call support * Experience in data replication plus knowledge of SQLServer & Oracle Applications database/interfaces a big plus * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required
