Credit Collections/Customer Service

DESCRIPTION
A Credit Collections/Customer Service consultant is needed to perform a variety of assignments associated with credit and collections. Initiate and receive telephone contacts with a wide range of customers regarding delinquent accounts, energy assistance, referrals to social agencies, etc. An understanding of credit and collection policies and procedures and good public relations attitude and show sensitivity to customers' needs, especially with customer contacts regarding delinquent accounts is NECESSARY. The ability to work in a fast pace environment with changing priorities is required. The consultant will also be responsible for Data Clean Up Tasks (not all inclusive but symbolic of the work), close and open orders, investigate errors and discrepancies with customer accounts, review customer records, billing/error reports, scan documentation, administer "return mail", correct customer names and addresses. This job involves working various in-box work queues that assist in our collection of outstanding receivables which may involve speaking with customers to assist in resolving their delinquent balance

Qualifications:
  • 5 years experience working in a billing/credit department and/or customer service department for a utility or telephone company
  • Intermediate Computer skills mouse navigation and key boarding skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet with good problem solving/detection capabilities
  • Analytical capability and quick learner
  • Ability to work in a team environment with little supervision
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and organized
  • Ability to work with external and internal customers is a must.

5 years exp. working in a billing/credit dept, customer service skills, computer skills mouse navigation and key boarding skills, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
