COGNOS Developers  

Contract
Design, develop, test and support Business Intelligence solutions utilizing Cognos Business Intelligence suite of products. Responsible for translating functional requirements into reporting objects and reporting data requirements. Create automation scripts for deployment. Provide technical assistance to other Cognos report writers and end users.

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    o Cognos ReportNet
    o Cognos Analysis Studio (Power Play)
    o Cognos Framework Manager - 2 years
    o Cognos Transformer
  • Proven experience in a Business Intelligence environment
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid interpersonal and team working skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Results oriented with a get it done attitude
  • Self motivated and able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously

    Desired Skills
  • Datawarehouse development
  • Cognos EventStudio
  • Unix administration and Scripting

    Other Skills
  • Working knowledge of Cognos Administration and Security features
  • Similar experience with Business Objects or other Business Intelligence Tools a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Working Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica is a plus
  • DB2 or other RDBMS experience is a plus
