Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Applies newly acquired knowledge to technical or engineering assignments that provide background and experience to accept additional responsibilities in their
area of specialty later when the technical degree is completed. Gains experience with and knowledge of Parker products, internal processes and systems, and technical customer requirements sufficient to perform future responsibilities with general direction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities that may include cross-functional and/or cross-divisional experience.
2. Actively acquires on-the-job training and knowledge of specialized technical or engineering principles and techniques required for Parker's
products. Assignments are at a professional level but require guidance and direction from more experienced engineers.
3. Performs a variety of routine technical assignments to provide experience and familiarization with the technical or engineering staff, methods, practices, and programs of the company.
4. Assists senior level team members to accomplish their project assignments by completing specific analysis or well-defined portions of the overall assignment. Learns project management techniques and participates in design or similar program reviews.
5. Attends internal and/or external development seminars and applies training in work assignments. Learns to apply methods, measurements, and techniques for continuous improvement.
6. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team.

Job Requirement:

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Completion of two (2) years Bachelor's degree coursework in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, or aerospace engineering or other related technical discipline. Must be enrolled in third or fourth year of a college degree program. Limited or no prior professional experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Fundamental theoretical knowledge of technical engineering principles, concepts, and techniques in specific discipline as required for the position (eg manufacturing, mechanical, electronics, packaging, optics, quality, or test). Ability to learn and to use basic standard business applications software and specialized engineering software. Ability to work on problems of fundamental scope and complexity and to apply knowledge to various learning and developmental projects. Ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations or resolve problems. Fundamental knowledge of basic
engineering analysis tools. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and reports. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies.

TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate a computer and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
