Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery

We are seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery in the Atlanta area with proven disaster recovery (DR) management and business continuity experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Provides for ongoing leadership, evaluation, and organization of the staff charged with developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to ensure continual operations in the event of disaster or interruption. Directs all activates required in DR process, including Mainframe recovery, continuity planning, recovery support, and distributed systems recovery. Develops and monitors the organization's DR strategies/methodologies, future technology vision and recovery tools. Conducts risk/threat vulnerability studies and impact assessments. Collaborates with application and infrastructure architects to define and enhance the capacity planning process. Ensures that the organization always has sufficient but not excessive technological capacity and that DR architectures are done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and best practices. Delivers projects on time, on schedule, and within budget utilizing industry standard project management best practices. Provides direction to subject matter experts in evaluating and selecting DR tools, equipment, and alternative recovery sites.

Responsibilities
- Directs all activities within the DR program including disaster recovery process, continuity planning, recovery support, Mainframe and distributed systems recovery.
- Responsible for overall Senior management reporting, budget reviews, issues and actions pertaining to the validity and compliance of the disaster recovery program.
- Provides overall management leadership in the DR programs capabilities regarding application, infrastructure recovery, crisis management, emergency management, disaster preparedness planning projects, and initiatives.
- Provides leadership and expertise in the development, maintenance, testing and implementation of Information Technology Disaster Recovery Programs and processes across the enterprise.
- Develops and monitors the organization's Disaster Recovery strategies/methodologies, future technology vision and recovery tools. Conducts risk/threat vulnerability studies and impact assessments.
- Development of new policies and procedures for disaster recovery and provides for testing of these procedures.
- Responsible for overall Senior management reporting, budget reviews, issues and actions pertaining to the validity and compliance of the disaster recovery program

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Certified Business Continuity Planner
- At least 10 years experience with approaches, practices, tools and techniques for the development and administration of contingency and disaster recovery plan.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 10 years of experience with approaches, practices, tools and techniques for the development and administration of contingency and disaster recovery planning.
- Certified Business Continuity Professional required, Master Business Continuity Professional desired.
- Very strong working knowledge and experience with diverse IT architectures and Enterprise IT environments.
- Very strong working knowledge and experience with physical and virtual server configurations and implementations, high availability server configurations and implementations.
- Very strong knowledge and experience with Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage, Virtual Tape implementations, SAN Fabric architectures and configurations.
- Strong knowledge and experience with various data replications strategies, configurations, implementations and management.
- Strong knowledge and experience with enterprise telecommunication architectures, strategies and implementations.
